  • Very similar to Five Notes, but superior. I don't need it for displaying files, but for posting notes it allows 6 notes instead of 5--or any lesser number. It also facilitates more user choice in its appearance. I would probably have rated it five stars but for the fact that the keyboard shortcut [ctrl+shift+1] doesn't work for me (and to my knowledge no other program I have loaded uses that shortcut--I've checked at defkey.com); and there seems to be no way to inquire of the developer regarding this issue.

A previous reviewer is right when suggesting that user-created titles would be better than Note1, Note2, etc. A good workaround is to use Note1 as an index.

UPDATE: For whatever reason, the k/b shortcut now works, so I've upgraded to 4 stars. It would be 5 stars if the shortcut could return me to the last Note displayed.
  • Opens and stores up to 6 notes in the sidebar (or you can change the setting and open them in a new window). You can choose the background color, the font, and the font size, in the addon setting page, but no note by note customization.

You can also specify in the addon setting page a file to inset a text file directly as a note. Very useful and unique feature, but the addon doesn't tell us what should be the extension of the file, I suppose it's only supposed to work with .txt? (But I tried and it shows nothing).

As it is, this option is a problem, because it's not selective, and accept every file extension, and doesn't display well if the extension is not right, but what is the accepted extension, we don't know. I
And the file can be very slow to load, so an improvement in a max size (that could be overrided) would be good.

But the main problem is that the note cannot be renamed, it's always NoteX, with X as the number, and it's not good to sort note by topics, I'm lost in my 6 notes. I don't like the notes menu, Note1, Note2, Note3... I would prefer icons to switch from a note to another one, or colors.
